摘要A method for analyzing pulse signal based on sample entropy is proposed in order to detect drowsiness objectively. The pulse signals were recorded from the subjects by MP150 multi-channel physiological signal recorder in waking and sleeping state. The sample entropy of pulse signals were calculated and analyzed under two states. The results show that the pulse signal sample entropy in the sleeping state was significantly higher than the waking state. Sample entropy could be used as an important characteristic parameter for distinguishing waking and sleeping state. It provides a new way for drowsiness detection. © 2012 IERI.
