Study on effect of seismic wave parameters and seismic mitigation performance of based isolated structure through serial seismic tests

摘要In order to study the effect of seismic wave parameters and the seismic mitigation performance of based isolated structures under serial seismic waves, a series of shaking table tests were conducted for a based isolated structural model. The seismic reduced ratio (SRR) of the based isolated structure was selected as a main analysis index. The seismic mitigation performances of the structure model were analyzed under near fault and far fault ground motions. The effects of seismic wave parameters on its seismic mitigation performance, including the median period, predominant period, ratio of peak ground velocity to peak ground acceleration, rupture distance, and directions of seismic waves, were studied under the same seismic ground motion intensity. Subsequently, the effects of seismic ground motion intensity and seismic ground motion dimensions on the seismic mitigation performance of the model were analyzed. Finally, seismic mitigation performance degradation under the serial seismic waves was discussed. The results show that, compared with the far fault ground motion, the SRRs of the based isolated structural model are lower under the near fault ground motion, and its seismic mitigation performance is less satisfactory. The seismic wave parameters, including the predominant period, rupture distance, ratio of peak ground velocity to peak ground acceleration and seismic ground motion intensity, have great influences on seismic mitigation performance of the test model and therefore should be considered as critical factors. In addiction, lead rubber bearing is capable of preventing the performance degradation effectively and thus ensuring the stability of the structure under serial seismic waves. © 2018, Editorial Office of Journal of Building Structures.
