Fsi resonance response of liquid-storage structures made of rubber-isolated rectangular reinforced concrete

摘要The analytical solution for dynamic liquid pressure in a rectangular reinforced concrete liquid-storage structure with slightly sloshing liquid shows that when the external excitation frequency is identical to the natural frequency of the liquid, resonance occurs in the liquid-storage structure and the dynamic response tends to infinity. If this situation happens in reality, the isolation design of liquid-storage structures made of reinforced concrete may suffer from numerous theoretical problems. In this study, the fluid-structure interaction (FSI) resonance response of a rubber-isolated liquid-storage structure made of rectangular reinforced concrete is analyzed using the finite element analysis software ADINA. Results show that the rubber isolation bearings can filter out the high-frequency components of the external excitation, so that theoretically high-frequency resonance does not occur. However, when the external excitation frequency is close to the first-order frequency of the liquid, significant resonance dynamic response appears. Therefore, the isolation period should be chosen in accordance with first-order frequency. © 2015 ejge.
