Analysis on the delay performance of single source single relay GBN-CARQ based on standalone server mode

摘要In this paper, we proposed a new cooperative automate repeat request algorithm based on GBN-ARQ (go back n automate repeat request). The relay could participate in packet retransmission together with the data source. The performance of the new protocol was analyzed by M/G/1 queuing theory. And the analytic formula of packet mean service delay was obtained by introducing equivalent service delay method. The traditional GBN-ARQ was compared with the GBN-CARQ proposed in this research by numerical simulation with MATLAB. And the performance of GBN-CARQ is much better than GBN- ARQ. The new retransmission algorithm's superiority is proved. It is concluded from the simulation that GBN-CARQ provides a simple and novel approach for network analysis, and adjusting the window and packet's length according to the quality of wireless network communication condition could help us get the satisfactory system packet average service delay. 1553-9105/Copyright © 2015 Binary Information Press
