Adsorptive desulfurization of FCC gasoline by modified attapulgite

摘要Titanium dioxide coated attapulgite(TiO2-GATB) was prepared via composite approach with modified attapulgite as the carrier and characterized by Fourier infrared spectrometer(FT-IR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), which was used as the desulfurizer for desulfurization of FCC gasoline. The effects of the type and content of active component in desulfurizer, activation temperature and time of desulfurizer, desulfurizer dosage, desulfurization temperature and time on desulfurization rate of FCC gasoline were studied. The results indicated that the highest desulfurization rate was achieved when the 40 mL FCC gasoline was treated at 40°C for 1 h with 5 g 5%TiO2-GATB actived at 600°C for 4 h. The sulfur mass fraction in FCC gasoline was reduced from 1100 μg/g to 141 μg/g after twice desulfurizations to reach the desulfurization rate of 87.18%. In TiO2-GATB desulfurizer TiO2 grains were not reunited and there was firm combination between TiO2 and attapulgite.
