摘要	Based on the video grid of two and three layers architecture that a part of client computers with high performance will become of temporary servers to provide video services to other users, the video grid of multilevel scalable architecture based on video data stream is brought forward. The bandwidth occupancy of backbone and the payload of the local servers will be lessened, and the original video grid architecture will be expanded as the video grid of multilevel scalable architecture while the occupied network bandwidth of a local server reaches the threshold. The design thought and process model of this multilevel video grid is discussed in detail. The strategy of service transfer is mentioned when a temporary server failed randomly to insure the video services the temporary server is providing wouldn't be interrupted. The simulation result produced by the VGSim, a simulator of video grid, shows that the service capacity of the multilevel video grid is far more than its preexistence models.
