摘要 | Fe-based composite coatings reinforced with WC particulates were produced on 1045 carbon steel by thermal spray welding. The microstructure was characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and analysis of energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS). The abrasive wear behavior of the coatings was investigated under dry sliding wear conditions, and was compared with that of Fe-based coatings produced without the addition of WC. The results show that the microstructure of the coatings is compact with homogeneous distribution of WC particles, in which amount of finer carbides dispersed. The coating reinforced with WC exhibits a significant increase in wear resistance. |
