Scalable and efficient all-perovskite tandem solar cells

摘要All-perovskite tandem solar cell (APTSC) is a promising choice for next-generation solar cells with high efficiency and low fabrication cost. However, there are still some challenges on the fabrication of large-area APTSC modules and long-term stability of the interconnecting contacts caused by halide and metal reaction. In the current issue of Science, Snaith et al. engineered the composition of wide-bandgap perovskite with a gas-assisted blade-coating method and devised a thin SnO2 layer as the conformal diffusion barrier to hinder the diffusion of halide ion and metal electrode, resulting in high efficiency and enhanced stability.
