Omnidirectional annealing process for scalable perovskite films

Metal halide perovskites have been regarded as promising photovoltaic materials due to the excellent photoelectric properties and low-cost fabrication. However, the poor scalability and reproducibility of perovskite film hinders its commercialization. Recently, a liquid medium annealing (LMA) method was developed which could provide a robust liquid environment and omnidirectional heating field to modulate the growth of perovskite crystal. With this method, the high-quality perovskite film with low defect density, desired stoichiometry, high homogeneity and less influence of environment could be fabricated. The corresponding perovskite solar cells (PSCs) achieved the champion power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 24.04% with area of 0.08 cm2 and that of 23.15% with the area of 1 cm2 with good reproducibility.
