Effect of Al and Co content on isothermal oxidation behavior of K4169 superalloy at 950°C

摘要Effect of Al and Co content on oxidation behavior of K4169 superalloy at 950°Cwas investigated by means of TGA, XRD and SEM (EDS). The results show that the oxidation kinetics obey parabolic law and the oxidation particle sizes of the alloy with different Al and Co content are smaller than that of the alloy with primary composition. With the increasing of Al content the oxidation resistance of the alloy is improved, however, with the increasing of Co content the oxidation resistance of the alloy is weakened. When the content of Al is 1.45 wt% and Co is 0.3 wt%, the oxidation resistance of the alloy is the best, but the alloy with primary composition is the worst. The oxide scales of the alloy with different Al and Co content are all composed of loose top layer consisted of Cr2O3, TiO2 and a bit of NiO and NiCr2O4, compact intermediate layer of Cr2O3, as well as discrete internal oxide layer of Al 2O3.
