摘要 | In this study, a pump turbine model was taken as the research object, and the SST k-ω turbulence model was used to conduct the three-dimensional numerical calculation of the entire channel of a pump turbine to improve the S characteristics of pump turbines. The n11-Q11 simulation curve was obtained, and the S characteristics of the unit were improved by optimizing the airfoil of the movable guide vane, and pressure pulsation analysis was performed on the vaneless zone of the unit after the airfoil of the movable guide vane was optimized. Results showed that the optimized movable guide vane airfoil improved the S characteristics of the unit. Although the efficiency of the unit was slightly reduced after airfoil optimization, the overall efficiency of the unit remained above 90%. Pressure pulsation in the vaneless zone was mainly caused by the divergence of the flow from the movable guide vane area and the working surface of the runner blade due to impact as well as interference between the runner vane and the active guide vane cascades composed of dynamic and static vane cascades. The modified movable guide vane reduced the amplitude of pressure pulsation in the vaneless zone.
