摘要 | Fe85Ga15 alloy ribbons were prepared in different wheel speeds by the melt-spinning. The measured results show that magnetostriction and microstructure of the Fe85Ga15 alloy is related to the cooling rate of ribbons and the maximum magnetostriction coefficient, -125×10-6, is obtained in the ribbon prepared with a wheel speed of 20m/s, whereas, the magnetostriction is not completely saturated. The results of XRD and TEM observation show that there is a split for the overlaped diffraction peak of α-Fe and modified DO3 structure and the crystal arrange along the thickness direction. The increase of the cooling rate can restrain the precipitation of the long-range oreder DO3-type phase and Ga-rich clusters emerge in the ribbons of Fe85Ga15. The strong shape magnetic anisotropy and special crystal structure result in a giant magnetostriction of Fe-Ga alloy ribbons. |
