AbstractThe power of each generation module (GM) should be adjusted independently to improve the utilization of microsources when modular multilevel converter microgrid operates on islanded. To solve this problem, a coordinated control strategy of microsources output power based on adaptive variable carrier cascade modulation was proposed. The power of each GM which corresponded to the carrier was analyzed, and its average power was deduced according to the input time in a cycle. Combining with the voltage fluctuation standard, the low frequency component of random microsources power was extracted by adaptive variational mode decomposition (VMD), and used as the effective output power of each microsource. The equivalent duty cycle of the corresponding carriers of each GM was adjusted according to the power levels to realize the adaptive control of the output power. The simulation and experimental results show that the power coordination control strategy can adaptively extract the low frequency components of random microsource power, and control the output power of each GM independently according to the power levels, so as to improve the utilization rate of microsource. © 2021 Chin.
