摘要Using advantages of mobile agent in distributed information processing, this paper proposes a new virtual database module based-on mobile agent. In this system, mobile agent substitutes the wrapper in virtual database and migrates to every web site to gather and extract useful information. After finishing, it returns the results processed to virtual database and virtual database provides a unified interface for application programmer. The use of mobile agent endows information gathering with intelligence and mobility. It transforms centralized information processing into distributed information processing and improves utilization ratio of network resource.
