Compressive properties of Cu-based bulk metallic glass after annealing treatment

摘要Cu-based bulk metallic glass(BMG) was isothermally annealed at 400, 600, 743, 753, 873 and 973 K for 30 min and 3 h. Compressive properties of the annealed BMGs were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD), compressive test machine and scanning electron microscope(SEM). The results indicate the start crystallization temperature of Cu-based BMGs is reduced gradually with increase of annealing time. Compressive stress-stain curves of the samples annealed for 30 minutes and 3 hours exhibit linear elasticity and no obvious inelastic yielding is observed. Higher compressive strength which is 2138 MPa is obtained for the sample annealed at 743 K for 30 min compared with that annealed at 600 and 753 K for same time, however, the reverse is observed for the samples annealed for 3 hours at the same temperature. The reason for such changes of compressive strength is analyzed.
